What is a classic leather belt?
It's a leather strap with a simple metal buckle, at a width you can wear with jeans, trousers and dresses. Most of ours are 1 to 1.6 inches (2.5 to 4 cm) wide.
Dieke (1.4 inches, 3.5 cm) has an antique silver buckle, and Fien (1.6 inches, 4 cm) has an ellipse buckle in antique gold. Yade is the slimmest of the 3, at 1 inch (2.5 cm), with an oval buckle. Black or brown: which classic belt should you get first?
Match it to the shoes you wear most. Black sits easily with black, grey and navy, and brown or cognac with denim, camel and white. About half of ours come in both.
Dieke comes in black, brown or camel, and Crissy in black, brown or cognac. Fien comes in black, cognac, taupe or sand. Want more color? Medy (1.6 inches, 4 cm) comes in 11, from white and beige to cobalt blue and wine.
Which elegant belts work for the office?
Go slim, about 1.2 inches (3 cm), and match the buckle to the jewelry you wear to work. Abel, Crissy and Nora are all that width. For silver, Abel has an antique silver buckle and Crissy a polished one with no other details; for gold, Nora has a rectangular buckle in gold brass.
Abel's product page pairs it with chinos or tailored trousers, and Medy's with formal trousers and dresses.

How do I find my size?
Go by your mid-rise jeans size: 27/28 is an S (85 cm) and 28/29 is an M (90 cm). Wear it higher, at your waist? Measure around your body there and match that to the length column in our belt size guide. Between 2 sizes, take the larger one. Dieke, Fien, Crissy and Medy come in XS (75 cm) to XL (105 cm), and Abel goes up to XXL (110 cm).
What leather are your classic belts made of?
Each product page names the leather. Dieke, Fien, Crissy, Yade, Nora and Medy are full-grain, vegetable-tanned Italian leather, Leather Working Group certified. Abel is full-grain leather. All 7 are handmade in the Netherlands.
How do I make a leather belt last?
Wipe it with a soft, dry cloth, and if it's smooth leather, treat it now and then with a neutral leather balm. Keep it in a dust bag when you're not wearing it, away from strong sun and damp. If it gets wet, let it air dry with no heat. Over time, full-grain leather like Fien's develops a richer patina.

Yes. Crissy, Nora, Medy and Abel are made for you after you order, and they usually ship 3 to 4 weeks from your order date. Your 30 days to exchange or return start the day it ships, and your first exchange is free. Exchanges and returns both need the belt unworn, with its tags and original packaging.
