How thin is a skinny belt?

Our skinny belts are 0.4 to 1 inch (1 to 2.5 cm) wide, and most are 0.8 inch (2 cm) or 1 inch (2.5 cm).

For the slimmest line, Alie and Elodie are 0.6 inch (1.5 cm). Alie has antique gold keepers, and Elodie has vintage studs and a round buckle. Ank, Alina and Chelsy are 0.8 inch (2 cm) with a gold, silver or antique gold buckle, and each comes in 11 colors. Yade is 1 inch (2.5 cm) with an oval buckle.

How do I wear a skinny belt with a dress or blazer?

Buckle it at your natural waist, over a loose dress or a blazer. Alie is cut as a skinny waist belt for a loose dress, and Irene (0.6 inch, 1.5 cm) goes with dresses, blazers and high-waisted pants.

Wrap belts like Esli and Evin knot or snap closed, so you set the fit yourself. Want a bolder waist? Our wide waist belts go up to 4 inches (10 cm).

Alie and Ank also thread through pant loops. For jeans, most of our women's leather belts for jeans are a little wider, at 1.2 to 1.8 inches (3 to 4.5 cm).

What size skinny belt should I get?

Go by your mid-rise jeans size: 27/28 is an S (85 cm) and 28/29 is an M (90 cm). Wearing it higher, at your waist over a dress or a blazer? Measure around your body there, over the clothes it goes on. Between 2 sizes, take the larger one.

Most of our skinny belts come in XS (75 cm) up to XL (105 cm) or XXL (110 cm). Elodie and Ines stop at M/L (95 cm), and wrap, tie and tassel belts like Esli, Evin and Siena come in one size. The full chart is in our belt size guide.

Do you have skinny black belts?

Yes, most of our skinny belts come in black. For a thin black leather belt that ships from stock, try Alie (0.6 inch), Elodie (0.6 inch) or Yade (1 inch). All 3 are full-grain, vegetable-tanned Italian leather, handmade in the Netherlands.

Do you have thin brown belts?

Yes. For a skinny brown belt, Henny is 0.6 inch (1.5 cm) of brown or cognac suede with an antique gold round buckle. Elodie comes in cognac too. Ank, Alina and Chelsy also come in brown, made to order.

Are your skinny belts real leather?

Nearly all of them are, and each product page names the leather. Alie, Ank and Yade, for example, are full-grain, vegetable-tanned Italian leather, Leather Working Group certified. A few, like the Kelsey chain belt and the Lasso rope belts, are mostly metal or cord, and their pages say so.

How long do made-to-order belts take?

They ship 3 to 4 weeks from the day you order. Most of our skinny belts are made to order, and their names start with "Made to Order". Belts in stock ship in 1 to 3 business days.

What if it doesn't fit?

Exchange it for another size within 30 days of receiving it, and your first exchange is free. For made-to-order belts, the 30 days start the day your order ships. A refund works too, minus a $5 return label, as long as the belt is unworn with its tags and original packaging. Details are in our returns and exchanges policy.
