Orders and made to order

When will my order ship?

Most in-stock orders ship within 1 to 3 business days. Made-to-order pieces usually ship 3 to 4 weeks after you order. We email you tracking as soon as your order leaves us.

What does made to order mean?

We make the piece for you after you order, instead of in large batches. That means less waste and a piece made just for you, so it takes longer. If the product page shows a ship date, that's the date to go by.

How do I follow my order?

Your order confirmation email has a link to follow your order. Once it ships, you get a shipping email with tracking from the carrier.

I ordered in-stock and made-to-order items together. What happens?

They ship separately, at no extra cost. Your in-stock items don't wait for the made-to-order piece.

Can I change or cancel my order?

Yes, until it ships. Email info@amsterdamheritage.com with your order number as soon as you can. Many in-stock orders ship within 1 to 2 business days, so write quickly. Once your order has shipped, you can return or exchange it instead.

How can I pay?

We accept credit and debit cards, Shop Pay, Apple Pay, Google Pay, Afterpay and Amsterdam Heritage gift cards. Payment is taken when you place your order.

Do you sell gift cards?

Yes. Our digital gift card comes in amounts from $20 to $150 and is sent by email.

Shipping

How much is shipping?

Standard shipping is free on US orders of $75 or more and $5 under $75. UPS 2nd Day Air is $35 and UPS Next Day Air is $50.

How long does delivery take?

Standard orders take about 3 to 8 business days in total: 1 to 3 days to ship, then 1 to 5 days with the carrier. UPS 2nd Day Air and Next Day Air orders ship within 1 business day. Full details are on our shipping page.

Do you ship outside the US?

This store ships to US addresses only.

Sizing

How do I find my belt size?

Measure around you where you'll wear the belt, over your jeans or dress, and pick the nearest Length in our size chart. You can also go by your jeans size or measure a belt you own. All 3 ways are in our belt size guide.

Is the belt size my waist or the full belt length?

Our belt size is the Length from the buckle fold to the middle hole, not the full length of the belt. A size M is 90 cm (about 35 inches) to the middle hole, so it fits if you measure 88 to 90 cm where you wear it.

I'm between 2 sizes. Which do I pick?

Take the larger one. Each size is 5 cm (about 2 inches) longer than the one before, and your first exchange is free within 30 days.

Which sizes do your belts come in?

From XS (75 cm) to XXL (110 cm). Not every belt comes in every size, so check the size menu on the belt you like. Wrap and tie belts are One Size.

What width belt should I wear with jeans?

Pick a belt 1.2 to 1.8 inches (3 to 4.5 cm) wide. See our women's belts for jeans for widths and sizes by jeans size.

Returns and exchanges

How do exchanges work?

You can exchange within 30 days of receiving your order. Start in our returns portal with your order number and zip code. Your first exchange is free.

How do I return for a refund?

Start in the returns portal within 30 days of receiving your order and print the prepaid label. We take $5 off your refund for the label, and the shipping you paid on the order isn't refunded. We process refunds within 2 to 5 business days of receiving your return.

Can I return a made-to-order piece?

Yes. You have 30 days from the day it shipped.

What condition does my return need to be in?

Unworn and brand new, with its tags and original packaging. Items from a previous exchange can't be returned. Full terms are on our returns and exchanges page.

Leather care

How do I care for my leather belt?

Wipe it with a soft, dry cloth and use a neutral leather balm now and then. Keep it away from strong sun, damp, grease, mud and rain, and store it in its dust bag. A light scratch often fades if you gently massage the leather.

How do I care for a leather bag?

The same way as a belt. Also use a spray protectant made for leather to help keep water out.

Why does my piece look a little different from the photo?

Our leather pieces are handcrafted, so no 2 are exactly the same. Small differences in color and grain are normal and aren't defects. Some leathers can lose a little color as you wear them.

Yes. Frido van Mossel founded Amsterdam Heritage in 2016. You can read customer reviews on every product page and our story on the About Us page.

Where are your belts made?

Our signature belts, like Pip, are handmade in the Netherlands. Each product page lists the leather and details for that belt.

Do you sell wholesale?

Yes. Shops can apply on our wholesale page.
